Dr. Arlene Ortega is a board-certified medical specialist whose experience in the field of dermatology spans over two decades and three continents. She is currently based in Quezon City but also sees patients in Makati. Before her repatriation to the Philippines, Dr. Ortega worked and trained with prominent dermatologists in New York City, Dr. Sheryl Clark and Dr. Amy Lewis. She also served as mèdecin invitè (visiting physician) at the Service de Dermatologie, Hopital Cantonal de Genève in Switzerland. Dr. Ortega completed her residency in Derma-tology at the Skin and Cancer Foundation, where she was a chief resident and is now a teaching consultant. She earned her doctorate in Medicine from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of the Philippines, Manila, where she graduated with distinction. She is a Fellow of the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) and an International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
